Department of Otolaryngology

Resident Research Rotation

University of Pittsburgh residents enjoy ample time dedicated to expanding knowledge in otolaryngology. Two blocks of ten weeks each are set aside in the PGY3 and PGY4 years for research. Each resident identifies a faculty mentor and prepares at least one project (which may be clinical or basic science) for presentation at departmental Grand Rounds. Presentation at national meetings is encouraged, and fully funded by the department. In addition, residents are required to complete a Quality Improvement (QI) project annually.
